GUGLIELMO CALDERINI. — Architect, born in Perugia on 3 March 1837, died in Rome on 12 February 1916.
Professor of architecture first at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia, then in Pisa, and finally in Rome. In 1887 he won the competition for the construction of the Palazzo di Giustizia in Rome, considered his major work. In Rome he also built the quadriportico of the basilica of St Paul. In Perugia he constructed the church of St Constantius, and in Savona the façade of the Duomo.
