GIACOMO D'ASCOLI. - A Franciscan theologian, born in the last decades of the 13th century. He studied in Paris and in 1309 is recorded among the masters consulted for the trial of Marguerite Porete. He later served (1310-12) as regent master at the University of Paris and in 1311 participated in the Council of Vienne.
