MAGISTRETTI, MARCO. - Liturgist and historian, b. in Milan on 19 July 1862. A priest in 1884, he was prefect and master of ceremonies there in 1890; in 1896 a member of the Lombard Historical Society; in 1901 a corresponding member of the Royal Deputation of National History; in 1905 an ordinary canon of the Major Chapter; in 1916 a councillor of the Lombard Historical Society; in 1919 director of the Capitular Library; in 1921 president of the board of directors of the Ambrosian Library. He died at S. Giovanni alla Castagna (Lecco) on 20 Nov. 1921.
He began his critical studies on the Ambrosian liturgy with Monsignors A. Ratti (Pius XI) and A. M. Ceriani.
