BENEDICTINE MISSIONARY NUNS OF THE QUEEN OF THE APOSTLES. — The Institute was founded at Loppen-les-Bruges (Belgium) by the Benedictine abbot Don Teodoro Neve and canonically erected by the Sacred Congregation of Religious on 21 April 1921. By the decree of praise of 25 November 1946 it became of pontifical right.
The monastery of Our Lady of Bethany, at Loppen-les-Bruges, is considered the general priory and has under its jurisdiction the priory of St Scholastica at Roriz-Négrelos in Portugal and the priory of St Benedict at Medea (Algeria).
The particular aim of the Institute is the practice of monastic life in the Benedictine form
