The monastery of Our Lady of Bethany, at Loppen-les-Bruges, is considered the general priory and has under its jurisdiction the priory of St. Scholastica in Roriz-Négrelos (Portugal) and the priory of St. Benedict in Medea (Algeria).

The particular aim of the Institute is the practice of the Benedictine monastic life and missionary apostolate. The nuns work in the missions of the Congo, Mexico, and Algeria.

In 1949 there were 160 nuns and 12 novices, distributed across 11 conventual and simple priories.
