BLESSED URSULINE. - B. in Parma on 14 May 1375, d. in Verona on 7 Apr. 1410.
Still young, she devoted herself to a life of harsh penance and prayer, and was favored with mystical revelations and ecstasies. During the great Western Schism, she went to Avignon to induce the antipope Clement VII to renounce his claim, and sought to act as a mediator between the cardinals of the two obediences. After having been on pilgrimage in Palestine, she spent the last years of her life in Verona, where she devoted herself to the reform of a cloistered monastery.
