ORSOLINA, blessed. – Born in Parma on 14 May 1375, died in Verona on 7 April 1410.
While still young, she dedicated herself to a life of austere penance and prayer, and was favored with mystical revelations and ecstasies. During the Great Western Schism, she went to Avignon to induce the antipope Clement VII to renounce his office, and sought to mediate between the cardinals of the two obediences. After making a pilgrimage to Palestine, she spent the final years of her life in Verona, where she devoted herself to reforming a monastery of enclosure.
