While still young she devoted herself to a life of rigorous penance and prayer, and was favoured with frequent revelations and ecstasies. During the Great Western Schism she went to Avignon to urge the antipope Clement VII to resign, and sought to mediate between the cardinals of the two obedientiaries. After a pilgrimage to Palestine, she spent the last years of her life at Verona, where she worked to reform a cloistered monastery.
