STUDI FRANCESCANI. - National scholarly journal of the Friars Minor of Italy.
It began publication on 19 June 1903 under the title *La Verna. Rivista illustrata sanfranciscana*, through the efforts of Fr. Mengoni (v.) and with a programmatic letter by Giuseppe Toniolo, with its seat in Rocca S. Casciano (Forlì). In June 1911, the editorial office was moved to Sarigiano (Arezzo), beginning in 1914 the 2nd series under the title *S. F., già la Verna*; the original heading was retained for the monthly bulletin of the Third Order and Antonian.
With the exception of the period of the First World War, which was filled with a single issue (1915-20), the journal appeared regularly. In 1929 it began its 3rd series, becoming the national journal of the Friars Minor of Italy.
