TIMON, Saint. - One of the first seven deacons.

He is mentioned in the account of the election of the deacons in Acts 6:1-6, but nothing is known of his life. Ado commemorates him on April 19 in his Martyrology, from which he then passed into the Roman one. In the Synaxaria his eulogy is read on June 30.
