TIMON, Saint. — One of the first seven deacons.

He is mentioned in the account of the election of the deacons in Acts 6:1-6, but nothing is known of his life. Ado commemorates him on 19 April in his Martyrology, from which he was then included in the Roman Martyrology. In the Synaxaria his elogium is read on 30 June.
