TRIERER THEOLOGISCHE ZEITSCHRIFT. — Monthly theological journal of the diocesan seminary of Trier, recently (1950) established as a faculty of theology, “for priestly science and practice.”
In brief scholarly articles, it addresses all the questions of modern life, with the aim of preparing excellent pastors of souls. It has always shown a special interest in Christian sociology.
Founded by P. Einig in 1889 under the title “Pastor Bonus” (v.) the journal soon acquired collaborators beyond the boundaries of the diocese. Some of the articles are devoted to the history of the archbishopric (up to the French Revolution) and subsequently of the bishopric of Trier.
