TRIER THEOLOGICAL JOURNAL

Theological monthly journal of the episcopal seminary of the city of Trier, recently (1950) elevated to the status of a Faculty of Theology, and dedicated to both scholarly inquiry and priestly practice.

In brief scholarly articles, it addresses all questions pertinent to modern life, with the aim of forming excellent shepherds of souls. It has always shown a special interest in Christian sociology.

Founded by Fr. Einig in 1889 under the title *Pastor Bonus* (v.), the journal soon acquired collaborators beyond the boundaries of the diocese. A portion of the articles is devoted to the history of the archbishopric (up to the French Revolution) and then to the bishopric of Trier.
