TRIERER THEOLOGISCHE ZEITSCHRIFT

TRIER THEOLOGICAL JOURNAL. - Monthly theological review of the episcopal Seminary of Trier, recently (1950) erected into a Faculty of theology, "for priestly science and practice."

In short scholarly articles, it touches on all the questions of modern life, with the aim of preparing excellent pastors of souls. It has always had a special interest in Christian sociology.

Founded by P. Einig, in 1889, under the title "Pastor Bonus" (v.), the review soon acquired contributors beyond the boundaries of the diocese. One part of the articles is devoted to the history of the archbishopric (up to the French Revolution) and then of the bishopric of Trier.
