AGNIFILO DELLA ROCCA, AMICO. – Cardinal, born at Roccadimezzo in Abruzzo, died at L’Aquila on 28 October or 9 November 1476. He was a canon of S. Maria Maggiore in Rome, then bishop of L’Aquila (1431); in 1464, cardinal of S. Maria in Trastevere, and in 1467, of S. Balbina. He held an important political position in the Papal States and in the Kingdom of Naples, where he was counsellor to Alfonso V and Ferdinand the Catholic. He was buried in the cathedral of L’Aquila.
