ARNOLDO of SAN PIETRO E PAOLO. — In the world Tilman Coix, a Flemish Discalced Carmelite belonging to the province of Lombardy, born at Roermond (Netherlands) on 6 December 1661, died at Parma on 5 February 1731. He entered the Order at Milan on 25 January 1681; subprior of the hermitage convent of Marlagne (Belgium) from 1694 to 1697, he published the interesting spiritual conferences of the hermits of Marlagne: Solitarius loquens, Collationes spirituales eremitarum nostrorum Marlanensium (I, Liège 1698; II, Modena 1722; Italian translation by D. Ecchero, Il solitario parlante, Trento 1726).
