PAOLO BARBO. — Philosopher and theologian, born in Soncino (Crema) and therefore also called Soncinas. Having entered the Dominican Order while still young, he taught philosophy and theology at Milan, Ferrara, and Bologna. He died as prior of the convent in Cremona on 4 August 1494.
Among his surviving works are: *Quaestiones super divina sapientia Aristotelis*, first edition Lyon 1579; *Divinarum Epitoma quaestionum in IV libros Sententiarum a Principe Thomistarum Ioanne Capreolo Tolosano disputatarium*, first edition Pavia 1522, often reprinted; *In libros praedicalbium et praedicamentorum expositio*, of uncertain date.
