BARBO, PAOLO. — Philosopher and theologian, born in Soncino (Crema), and therefore also called Soncinas. Having entered the Dominican Order while still young, he taught philosophy and theology in Milan, Ferrara, and Bologna. He died as prior of the convent of Cremona on 4 August 1494.
Among other works, we have from him: Quaestiones super divina sapientia Aristotelis, first edition, Lyon 1579; Divinarum Epitoma quaestionum in IV libros Sententiarum a Principe Thomistorum Ioanne Capreolo Toloano disputaturum, first edition, Pavia 1522, frequently reprinted; In libros praedicabilium et praedicamentorum expositio, of uncertain date.
