BARTOLUCCI, SALVATORE. – Preacher, philosopher, and Scotist theologian of the Friars Minor Conventual, born in Assisi in the first half of the sixteenth century, died in Padua in 1603. Professor of metaphysics for several years at the University of Padua, he took part as a preacher in the Council of Trent, where he delivered an acclaimed discourse on Franciscanism. He oversaw the reprinting of various works by Scotus and other Scholastics, adding his own contributions aimed at clarification.
