BARTOLUCCI, SALVATORE. — Preacher, philosopher, and skeptical theologian of the Conventual Friars Minor, born in Assisi in the first half of the sixteenth century, died in Padua in 1603. He taught metaphysics for several years at the University of Padua and participated as a preacher at the Council of Trent, where he delivered an acclaimed discourse on Franciscanism. He supervised the reprinting of various works by Scotus and other Scholastics, contributing personal clarifications to them.
