Bartolucci, Salvatore

BARTOLUCCI, SALVATORE. - Preacher, philosopher and Scotist theologian, of the Conventual Friars Minor, born in Assisi in the first half of the sixteenth century, died in Padua in 1603. Professor of metaphysics for several years at the University of Padua, he took part as a preacher in the Council of Trent, where he delivered an applauded discourse on Franciscanism. He oversaw the reprinting of various works of Scotus and of other Scholastics, contributing to them his own clarifications.
