CORRADO, Saint. — Bishop of Constance. His noble parents entrusted him to the clergy of the cathedral of Constance, and Bishop Notingo (920-34) chose him as his collaborator, succeeding him in the episcopate in 934. He was united in friendship with St. Ulrich, Bishop of Augsburg. Untiring in his apostolic ministry, he built the three beautiful churches of St. Maurice, St. Paul, and St. John. He visited the Holy Land three times and died after 42 years of fruitful episcopate on 26 Nov. 975. He was buried in the church of St. Maurice. Callistus II would have canonized him on 28 March 1123 during the Lateran Council, but the source is uncertain. His feast is celebrated on 26 Nov.
