ELIAM, — Father of Bathsheba (Eli'am in 2 Sam. 11:3; 1 Chr. 3:5 = by transposition "ammi'el": "my uncle or relative is 'El").
He is probably to be identified with the son of Ahithophel, one of the thirty valiant men of David (2 Sam. 23:34; cf. 1 Chr. 11:36); so M. Sales, Il Vecchio Testamento, tr.
