1. Damascene servant of Abraham (Gen. 15:2). He is believed to be the eldest servant of Abraham’s household, the administrator of all his possessions (Gen. 24:2), and the one sent by Abraham to Mesopotamia to find a wife for his son Isaac (Gen. 24:3-56).

2. Second son of Moses by Sephora (Ex. 18:4; 1 Chr. 23:15). He remained with his grandfather Jethro until Moses returned from Egypt to lead Israel (Ex. 18:1-7). His descendants are recorded in 1 Chr. 23:17; 26:25-27.

3. A Benjaminite (1 Chr. 7:8).

4. One of the priests who, at the sound of the trumpets, accompanied the transport of the ark from the house of Obed-edom to Jerusalem (1 Chr. 15:24).
