FEBADIO. - Anti-Arian polemicist, bishop of Agennum (Agen, department of Lot-et-Garonne) in Gaul, he wrote, after the publication of the second formula of Sirmium, a book Contra Arianos (PL 20, 13-30) around 357-58, addressed to the bishops of Gaul, drawing extensively upon Tertullian’s Adversus Praxeam and Hilary, with the result that the bishops condemned the second formula of Sirmium. He was still alive in 592 (Jerome, De vir. ill., 108).
