He seems to have vernacularized, with particular artistic merits, the Tesoro by B. Latini, the Art of War by Vegetius, the Histories by P. Orosius, the Formula honestae vitae by Martin of Braga, and the De contemptu mundi by Innocent III; and
he wrote an Introduction to Virtue (considered by some a vernacularization, by others an original work), an allegorical journey in which Philosophy is the gateway to Faith, and Faith to the Virtues, and Faith and Virtue defeat Vices, Idolatry, Judaism, Heresy, and Mohammedanism.
