MASSOULIÈ, ANTOINE. - Dominican theologian, b. at Toulouse on 28 Oct. 1632, d. at Rome on 23 Jan. 1706. He entered the religious life in his native city (1647), studied at Bordeaux and Toulouse, and taught at Carcassonne, Avignon, Perpignan, and Paris (1665). Po, though he did not take part in the military events of the Wind. After the Pope had withdrawn to Gaeta, he joined him there in the company of his father. Once restoration had taken place, certain tasks were entrusted to him in Rome, and upon the death of Count Gabriele he succeeded him as the last papal gonfalonier of Senigallia.
