Salomon blesseth the people. 4. prayeth to God, geuing thankes for benefites receiued, 16. and requesting continual protection, and that God wil heare the prayers of the people, 32. yea also of strangers that pray in the Temple.
1Then Solomon said: The Lord promised that he would dwell in a cloud.Allora Salomone disse: Il Signore ha promesso, che porrebbe sua stanza nella caligine:THEN Salomon sayd: Our Lord promised that he would dwel in darkenesse:Tunc Salomon ait: Dominus pollicitus est ut habitaret in caligine: 2But I have built a house to his name, that he might dwell there for ever.E io ho eretta una casa al nome di lui, affinchè egli la abiti in eterno.and I haue built a house to his name, that he might dwel there for euer.ego autem ædificavi domum nomini ejus, ut habitaret ibi in perpetuum. 3And the king turned his face, and blessed all the multitude of Israel for all the multitude stood attentive and he said:E il re si rivolse a benedire tutta la moltitudine d'Israele (perocché tutta la turba stava in piedi in attenzione), e disse:And the king turned his face, and blessed al the multitude of Israel (for al the multitude stood attent) and sayd:Et convertit rex faciem suam, et benedixit universæ multitudini Israël (nam omnis turba stabat intenta), et ait: 4Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel, who hath accomplished in deed that which he spoke to David my father, saying:Benedetto il Signore Dio d'Israele, il quale ha condotto ad effetto quello, che promise a David mio padre, allorché disse:Blessed be our Lord the God of Israel, who in worke hath accomplished that, which he spake to Dauid my father, saying:Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël, qui quod locutus est David patri meo, opere complevit, dicens: 5From the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel, for a house to be built in it to my name: neither chose I any other man, to be the ruler of my people Israel.Dal giorno, in cui io trassi il mio popolo dalla terra d'Egitto, io non mi elessi tralle tribù d'Israele una città, dove si edificasse una casa al nome mio: e non elessi alcun altro uomo, perchè governasse il popol mio d'Israele; From the day, that I brought my people out of the Land of Aegypt, I chose not a citie of al the tribes of Israel, that a house might be built in it to my name: neither did I choose anie other man, to be Duke in my people Israel.A die qua eduxi populum meum de terra Ægypti, non elegi civitatem de cunctis tribubus Israël ut ædificaretur in ea domus nomini meo, neque elegi quemquam alium virum ut esset dux in populo Israël: 6But I chose Jerusalem, that my name might be there: and I chose David to set him over my people Israel.Ma elessi Gerusalemme, perchè ella porti il mio nome; ed elessi David, per farlo re del mio popolo d'Israele.but I chose Ierusalem, that my, name may be in it: and I chose Dauid, that I might appoynt him ouer my people Israel.sed elegi Jerusalem ut sit nomen meum in ea, et elegi David ut constituerem eum super populum meum Israël.
7And whereas David my father had a mind to build a house to the name of the Lord the God of Israel,E David padre mio avendo avuto bramosia di edificare una casa al nome del Signore Dio d'Israele. And wheras Dauid my father had meant to build a house to the name of our Lord the God of Israel,Cumque fuisset voluntatis David patris mei ut ædificaret domum nomini Domini Dei Israël, 8The Lord said to him: Forasmuch as it was thy will to build a house to my name, thou hast done well indeed in having such a will:Il Signore gli disse: Che tu abbia avuta la volontà di edificare una casa al nome mio, bene sta, che tu abbi avuto tal desiderio:our Lord sayd to him: Because thy wil was this, that thou wouldest build a house to my name, thou hast done wel certes to haue such a wil:dixit Dominus ad eum: Quia hæc fuit voluntas tua, ut ædificares domum nomini meo, bene quidem fecisti hujuscemodi habere voluntatem: 9But thou shalt not build the house, but thy son, who shall come out of thy loins, he shall build a house to my name.Ma non tu edificherai questa casa: ma il tuo figliuolo nato da te, egli edificherà la casa al nome mio.howbeit thou shalt not build the house, but thy sonne, which shal come out of thy loynes, he shal build a house to my name.sed non tu ædificabis domum: verum filius tuus, qui egredietur de lumbis tuis, ipse ædificabit domum nomini meo. 10The Lord therefore hath accomplished his word which he spoke: and I am risen up in the place of David my father, and sit upon the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised: and have built a house to the name of the Lord God of Israel. Our Lord therfore hath accomplished his word, which he spake: and I am risen for Dauid my father, and sit vpon the throne of Israel, as our Lord hath spoken: and haue built a house to the name of our Lord the God of Israel.Complevit ergo Dominus sermonem suum quem locutus fuerat: et ego surrexi pro David patre meo, et sedi super thronum Israël, sicut locutus est Dominus: et ædificavi domum nomini Domini Dei Israël. 11And I have put in it the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord, which he made with the children of Israel.E in essa ho collocata l'arca, dentro di cui sta il patto del Signore fermato co' figliuoli d'Israele. And I haue put in it the Arke, wherin is the couenant of our Lord, which he made with the children of Israel:Et posui in ea arcam in qua est pactum Domini quod pepigit cum filiis Israël.
12And he stood before the altar of the Lord, in presence of all the multitude of Israel, and stretched forth his hands.Indi (Salomone) si stette in piedi dinanzi all'altare del Signore alla presenza di tutta la moltitudine d'Israele, e stese le mani sue.He therfore stoode before the Altar of our Lord, ouer agaynst al the multitude of Israel, and stretched forth his handes.Stetit ergo coram altari Domini ex adverso universæ multitudinis Israël, et extendit manus suas. 13For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold, and had set it in the midst of the temple, which was five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high: and he stood upon it: then kneeling down in the presence of all the multitude of Israel, and lifting up his hands towards heaven,(Perocché avea Salomone fatta una predella di bronzo, e l'avea fatta porre nel mezzo del portico, lunga cinque cubiti, e larga cinque cubiti, e alta tre cubiti, ed egli vi stava sopra in piedi): e di poi inginocchiatosi alla presenza di tutta la turba d'Israele, e alzate al cielo le mani,For Salomon had made an eminent place of brasse, and had put it in the middes of the Temple, hauing fiue cubites of length, & bredth, & three of height: & he stoode vpon it: & afterward kn̄eeling ouer agaynst al the multitude of Israel, and his handes lifted vp toward heauen,Siquidem fecerat Salomon basim æneam, et posuerat eam in medio basilicæ, habentem quinque cubitos longitudinis, et quinque cubitos latitudinis, et tres cubitos altitudinis: stetitque super eam, et deinceps flexis genibus contra universam multitudinem Israël, et palmis in cælum levatis, 14He said: O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heaven nor in earth: who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:Disse: Signore Dio d'Israele, non havvi Dio simile a te nel cielo, o nella terra: a te, che osservi i patti, e usi misericordia co' servi tuoi, i quali con tutto il cuor loro battono le tue vie.he sayd: Lord God of Israel, there is not the like God to thee in heauen and in earth: which keepest couenant and mercie with thy seruantes, that walke before thee in al their hart:ait: Domine Deus Israël, non est similis tui deus in cælo et in terra: qui custodis pactum et misericordiam cum servis tuis qui ambulant coram te in toto corde suo: 15Who hast performed to thy servant David my father all that thou hast promised him: and hast accomplished in fact, what thou hast spoken with thy mouth, as also the present time proveth.Tu, che adempisti a favore di David tuo servo, padre mio, tutto quello, che a lui predicesti: e quello, che promettesti in parole, lo eseguisti di fatto, come il presente tempo il dimostra:which hast performed to thy seruant Dauid my father what thinges soeuer thou hadst spoken to him: and the thinges that by mouth thou hadst promised, in worke thou hast accomplished, as also the present time proueth.qui præstitisti servo tuo David patri meo quæcumque locutus fueras ei: et quæ ore promiseras, opere complesti, sicut et præsens tempus probat.
16Now then, O Lord God of Israel, fulfil to thy servant David my father, whatsoever thou hast promised him, saying: There shall not fail thee a man in my sight, to sit upon the throne of Israel: yet so that thy children take heed to their ways, and walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.Adesso adunque, o Signore Dio d'Israele, adempì tutto quello, che al padre mio David tuo servo annunziasti, dicendo: Non mancherà di tua stirpe chi segga dinanzi a me sul trono d'Israele: a condizione però, che i tuoi figliuoli veglino sopra le vie loro, e camminino nella mia legge, come tu pur camminasti dinanzi a me.Now therfore Lord God of Israel, fulfil to thy seruant my father Dauid, what soeuer thou didst speake to him, saying: There shal not fayle of thee a man before me, to sitte vpon the throne of Israel: yet so if thy children keepe their waies, and walke in my law, as thou also hast walked before me.Nunc ergo Domine Deus Israël, imple servo tuo patri meo David quæcumque locutus es, dicens: Non deficiet ex te vir coram me, qui sedeat super thronum Israël: ita tamen si custodierint filii tui vias suas, et ambulaverint in lege mea, sicut et tu ambulasti coram me. 17And now, Lord God of Israel, let thy word be established which thou hast spoken to thy servant David.Adesso adunque, o Signore Dio d'Israele, sia confermata la tua parola data da te a Davidde tuo servo. And now Lord God of Israel, be thy word confirmed, which thou hast spoken to thy seruant Dauid.Et nunc Domine Deus Israël, firmetur sermo tuus quem locutus es servo tuo David. 18Is it credible then that God should dwell with men on the earth? If heaven and the heavens of heavens do not contain thee, how much less this house, which I have built?È egli adunque credibile, che Dio abiti sopra la terra cogli uomini? Se il cielo, e i cieli de' cieli non ti capiscono, quanto meno questa casa edificata da me?Is it credible then that God should dwel with men vpon the earth? If heauen and the heauens of heauens doe not take thee, how much more this house, which I haue built?Ergone credibile est ut habitet Deus cum hominibus super terram ? si cælum et cæli cælorum non te capiunt, quanto magis domus ista quam ædificavi ? 19But to this end only it is made, that thou mayest regard the prayer of thy servant and his supplication, O Lord my God: and mayest hear the prayers which thy servant poureth out before thee.Ma ella per questo solo è stata fatta, affinchè tu, Signore Dio mio, ti rivolga alle suppliche del tuo servo: e ascolti le preci, che spande dinanzi a te lo stesso tuo servo:But to this end only it is made, that thou shouldest respect the prayer of thy seruant, and his supplication Lord my God: and mayst heare the prayers, which thy seruant powreth out before thee:Sed ad hoc tantum facta est, ut respicias orationem servi tui, et obsecrationem ejus, Domine Deus meus, et audias preces quas fundit famulus tuus coram te:
20That thou mayest open thy eyes upon this house day and night, upon the place wherein thou hast promised that thy name should be called upon,Affinchè gli occhi tu tenga aperti di giorno, e di notte sopra di questa casa, nella quale tu hai promesso, che sarebbe invocato il tuo nome;that thou open thine eies vpon this house daies & nightes, vpon the place, wherein thou hast promised that thy name should be inuocated,ut aperias oculos tuos super domum istam diebus ac noctibus, super locum in quo pollicitus es ut invocaretur nomen tuum, 21And that thou wouldst hear the prayer which thy servant prayeth in it: hearken then to the prayers of thy servant, and of thy people Israel. Whosoever shall pray in this place, hear thou from thy dwelling place, that is, from heaven, and shew mercy.Affin di esaudire le orazioni fatte qui dal tuo servo, e di ammettere le suppliche del tuo servo, e d'Israele tuo popolo. Chiunque in questo luogo farà orazione, esaudiscilo dal luogo di tua abitazione, cioè dal cielo, e fa con lui misericordia.and wouldest heare the prayer, which thy seruant prayeth in it: and mayst heare the prayers of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel. Whosoeuer shal pray in this place, heare out of thy habitation, that is from the heauens, and be propitious.et exaudires orationem quam servus tuus orat in eo: et exaudias preces famuli tui, et populi tui Israël. Quicumque oraverit in loco isto, exaudi de habitaculo tuo, id est, de cælis, et propitiare. 22If any man sin against his neighbour, and come to swear against him, and bind himself with a curse before the altar in this house:Se uno avrà peccato contro il suo prossimo, e si offerirà di dar giuramento contro di lui, e si avvincerà di maledizione dinanzi all'altare in questa casa;If anie man shal sinne agaynst his neighbour, and come readie to sweare agaynst him, and binde himself with a curse before the altar in this house:Si peccaverit quispiam in proximum suum, et jurare contra eum paratus venerit, seque maledicto constrinxerit coram altari in domo ista: 23Then hear thou from heaven, and do justice to thy servants, so to requite the wicked by making his wickedness fall upon his own head, and to revenge the just, rewarding him according to his justice.Tu dal cielo ascolterai, e farai ragione a' tuoi servi, cader facendo sulla testa dell'iniquo la sua ingiustizia, e facendo le vendette del giusto, e rimunerando la sua giustizia.thou shalt heare from heauen, and shalt doe the iudgement of thy seruantes, so that thou render to the vniust his way vpon his owne head, and reuenge the iust, rewarding him according to his iustice.tu audies de cælo, et facies judicium servorum tuorum, ita ut reddas iniquo viam suam in caput proprium, et ulciscaris justum, retribuens ei secundum justitiam suam.
24If thy people Israel be overcome by their enemies, (for they will sin against thee,) and being converted shall do penance, and call upon thy name, and pray to thee in this place,Se da' nemici sarà stato messo in fuga Israele tuo popolo (perocché egli peccherà contro di te), e convertiti faran penitenza, e invocheranno in questa casa il tuo nome, e faran suppliche a te in questo luogo,If thy people Israel shal be ouercome of their enemies, (for they wil sinne to thee) and conuerted shal doe penance, and besech thy name, and pray in this place,Si superatus fuerit populus tuus Israël ab inimicis (peccabunt enim tibi), et conversi egerint pœnitentiam, et obsecraverint nomen tuum, et fuerint deprecati in loco isto, 25Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel and bring them back into the land which thou gavest to them, and their fathers.Tu dal cielo gli esaudirai, e avrai misericordia d'Israele tuo popolo, e li ritornerai nella terra data da te ad essi, e ai padri loro.thou shalt heare from heauen, and be thou propetious to the sinne of thy people Israel, and reduce them into the land, which thou gauest them, and their fathers.tu exaudies de cælo: et propitiare peccato populi tui Israël, et reduc eos in terram quam dedisti eis, et patribus eorum. 26If the heavens be shut up, and there fall no rain by reason of the sin of the people, and they shall pray to thee in this place, and confess to thy name, and be converted from their sins, where thou dost afflict them,Se, chiuso il cielo, mancheranno le piogge pei peccati del popolo, e faranno orazione a te in questo luogo, e confesseranno il tuo nome, e umiliati da te si convertiranno dai loro peccati,If the heauen being shut, there fal no rayne for the sinnes of the people, and they shal besech thee in this place, and shal confesse to thy name, and shal be conuerted from their sinnes, when thou shalt afflict them,Si clauso cælo pluvia non fluxerit propter peccata populi, et deprecati te fuerint in loco isto, et confessi nomini tuo, et conversi a peccatis suis, cum eos afflixeris, 27Then hear thou from heaven, O Lord, and forgive the sins of thy servants and of thy people Israel and teach them the good way in which they may walk: and give rain to thy land which thou hast given to thy people to possess.Esaudiscili dal cielo, o Signore, e perdona i lor peccati a' tuoi servi, e ad Israele tuo popolo, e mostra loro la buona strada, che debbono battere: e dà la pioggia alla terra data da te in dominio del popol tuo.heare from heauen ô Lord, and forgeue the sinnes of thy seruantes and of thy people Israel, and teach them the good way, by the which they may goe: and geue rayne to thy land, which thou hast geuen thy people to possesse.exaudi de cælo, Domine, et dimitte peccata servis tuis et populi tui Israël, et doce eos viam bonam, per quam ingrediantur: et da pluviam terræ quam dedisti populo tuo ad possidendum.
28If a famine arise in the land, or a pestilence or blasting, or mildew, or locusts, or caterpillars: or if their enemies waste the country, and besiege the cities, whatsoever scourge or infirmity shall be upon them:Se verrà nel paese la fame, e la pestilenza, e la ruggine, e il fuoco salvatico e le cavallette, e i bruci; e i nemici, desolate le terre, stringeranno d'assedio la città; o qualunque altro flagello, e malore li prema:If famine shal arise in the land, and pestilence, rust, and blast, and locust, and bruche, and the enemies, wasting the countries, shal besiege the gates of the citie, and al plague and infirmitie shal presse them:Fames si orta fuerit in terra, et pestilentia, ærugo, et aurugo, et locusta, et bruchus: et hostes, vastatis regionibus, portas obsederint civitatis, omnisque plaga et infirmitas presserit: 29Then if any of thy people Israel, knowing his own scourge and infirmity shall pray, and shall spread forth his hands in this house,Se considerando le sue piaghe, e malori alcun del popolo d'Israele ti pregherà, e alzerà a te in questa casa le mani sue,if any of thy people Israel shal pray; knowing their plague and infirmitie, and shal spred forth their handes in this house,si quis de populo tuo Israël fuerit deprecatus, cognoscens plagam et infirmitatem suam, et expanderit manus suas in domo hac, 30Hear thou from heaven, from thy high dwelling place, and forgive, and render to every one according to his ways, which thou knowest him to have in his heart: for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:Tu dal cielo, dall'eccelsa abitazione tua lo esaudirai, e farai misericordia, e renderai a ciascuno secondo quello, che scorgerai nel suo cuore: perocché tu solo conosci i cuori degli uomini:thou shalt heare from heauen, to wit, out of thy high habitation, and be thou propitious, and render to euerie one according to his wayes, which thou knowest him to haue in his hart: (for thou onlie knowest the hartes of the children of men:)tu exaudies de cælo, de sublimi scilicet habitaculo tuo: et propitiare, et redde unicuique secundum vias suas, quas nosti eum habere in corde suo (tu enim solus nosti corda filiorum hominum): 31That they may fear thee, and walk in thy ways all the days that they live upon the face of the land, which thou hast given to our fathers.Affinchè ti temano, e battano le tue vie in tutto il tempo, che viveranno sopra la terra data da te ai padri loro.that they may feare thee, and walke in thy waies al the daies, that they liue vpon the face of the land, which thou hast geuen to our fathers.ut timeant te, et ambulent in viis tuis cunctis diebus quibus vivunt super faciem terræ quam dedisti patribus nostris.
32If the stranger also, who is not of thy people Israel, come from a far country, for the sake of thy great name, and thy strong hand, and thy stretched out arm, and adore in this place:Gli stranieri eziandio, che non sono del tuo popolo d'Israele, se di lontan paese verranno tratti dal nome tuo grande, e dalla forte tua mano, e dal possente tuo braccio, e te adoreranno in questo luogo,The Forener also, which is not of thy people Israel, if he come from a far countrie, for thy strong hand, & thy streched out arme, and adore in this place:Externum quoque, qui non est de populo tuo Israël, si venerit de terra longinqua propter nomen tuum magnum, et propter manum tuam robustam, et brachium tuum extentum, et adoraverit in loco isto, 33Hear thou from heaven thy firm dwelling place, and do all that which that stranger shall call upon thee for: that all the people of the earth may know thy name, and may fear thee, as thy people Israel, and may know, that thy name is invoked upon this house, which I have built.Tu dal cielo, dalla saldissima abitazione tua gli esaudirai; e farai tutto quello, che chiederà a te lo straniero, affinchè sia conosciuto da tutti i popoli della terra il tuo nome, ed ei ti temano come il popol tuo d'Israele: e conoscano come da te prende il nome questa casa edificata da me.thou shalt heare from heauen thy most firme habitation, & shalt do al thinges, for the which that pilgrime shal inuocate thee: that al the peoples of the earth may know thy name, and may feare thee, as thy people Israel, and may know, that thy name is inuocated vpon this house, which I haue built.tu exaudies de cælo firmissimo habitaculo tuo, et facies cuncta pro quibus invocaverit te ille peregrinus: ut sciant omnes populi terræ nomen tuum, et timeant te sicut populus tuus Israël, et cognoscant quia nomen tuum invocatum est super domum hanc quam ædificavi. 34If thy people go out to war against their enemies, by the way that thou shalt send them, and adore thee towards the way of this city, which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built to thy name:Se il popol tuo si moverà per far guerra a' suoi nemici, e andando, dove tu gli avrai mandati, te adoreranno rivolti a questa parte, dove è questa città eletta da te, e la casa edificata da me al tuo nome:If thy people shal goe forth to warre agaynst their aduersaries, by the way, that thou shalt send them, shal adore thee agaynst the way, wherein is this citie, which thou hast chosen, and the house, which I haue built to thy name:Si egressus fuerit populus tuus ad bellum contra adversarios suos per viam in qua miseris eos, adorabunt te contra viam in qua civitas hæc est, quam elegisti, et domus quam ædificavi nomini tuo, 35Then hear thou from heaven their prayers, and their supplications, and revenge them.Tu dal cielo esaudirai le loro preghiere, e le suppliche, e farai le loro vendette.thou shalt from heauen heare their prayers, and petition, and doe thou reuenge.tu exaudies de cælo preces eorum, et obsecrationem: et ulciscaris.
36And if they sin against thee (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them up to their enemies, and they lead them away captive to a land either afar off, or near at hand,Che se eglino peccheranno contro di te (perocché uomo non è, che non pecchi), onde tu irato contro di loro li darai in potere de' nemici, i quali li meneranno prigionieri lungi, o dappresso; And if they shal sinne to thee (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angrie with them, and deliuer them to the enemies, and they leade them captiue into a farre countrie, or which is neere at the least,Si autem peccaverint tibi (neque enim est homo qui non peccet), et iratus fueris eis, et tradideris hostibus, et captivos duxerint eos in terram longinquam, vel certe quæ juxta est, 37And if they be converted in their heart in the land to which they were led captive, and do penance, and pray to thee in the land of their captivity saying: We have sinned, we have done wickedly, we have dealt unjustly:E nel paese, dove furon menati schiavi, si convertiranno di cuore, e faran penitenza, e nella terra di loro schiavitù ti supplicheranno, dicendo: Abbiam peccato, abbiamo operato iniquamente, abbiamo agito ingiustamente;and being conuerted in their hart in the land, to the which they were led captiue, shal doe penance, and shal besech thee in the land of their captiuitie, sayng: We haue sinned, we haue done wickedly, we haue delt vniustly:et conversi in corde suo in terra ad quam captivi ducti fuerant, egerint pœnitentiam, et deprecati te fuerint in terra captivitatis suæ, dicentes: Peccavimus: inique fecimus, injuste egimus: 38And return to thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their captivity, to which they were led away, and adore thee towards the way of their own land which thou gavest their fathers, and of the city, which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built to thy name:E a te torneranno con tutto il cuor loro, e con tutta l'anima nella terra di loro schiavitù, dove furon condotti, e te adoreranno rivolti verso il paese dato da te a' padri loro, e verso la città eletta da te, e verso la casa, che io ho eretta al tuo nome:and shal returne to thee in al their hart, and in al their soule, in the land of their captiuitie, to the which they were led, shal adore thee agaynst the way of their land, which thou gauest their fathers, and of the citie, which thou hast chosen, and of the house, which I haue built to thy name:et reversi fuerint ad te in toto corde suo, et in tota anima sua, in terra captivitatis suæ ad quam ducti sunt, adorabunt te contra viam terræ suæ, quam dedisti patribus eorum, et urbis quam elegisti, et domus quam ædificavi nomini tuo: 39Then hear thou from heaven, that is, from thy firm dwelling place, their prayers, and do judgment, and forgive thy people, although they have sinned:Tu dal cielo, dalla saldissima abitazione tua esaudirai le loro preci, e farai loro ragione, perdonando al tuo popolo, benché peccatore:thou shalt heare from heauen, that is, from thy firme habitation their prayers, and doe thou iudgement, and forgeue thy people, although sinneful:tu exaudies de cælo, hoc est, de firmo habitaculo tuo, preces eorum: et facias judicium, et dimittas populo tuo, quamvis peccatori:
40For thou art my God: let thy eyes, I beseech thee, be open, and let thy ears be attentive to the prayer, that is made in this place.Perocché sei il mio Dio: siano aperti, ti prego, gli occhi tuoi, e attente le tue orecchie all'orazione, che si fa in questo luogo.for thou art my God: let thine eies, I besech thee, be opened, and let thine eares be attent, to the prayer, that is made in this place.tu es enim Deus meus: aperiantur, quæso, oculi tui, et aures tuæ intentæ sint ad orationem quæ fit in loco isto. 41Now therefore arise, O Lord God, into thy resting place, thou and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O Lord God, put on salvation, and thy saints rejoice in good things. Now therfore arise Lord God in thy rest, thou and the Arke of thy strength: Let thy Priestes Lord God put on saluation, & thy Saintes reioyse in good thinges.Nunc igitur consurge, Domine Deus, in requiem tuam, tu et arca fortitudinis tuæ: sacerdotes tui, Domine Deus, induantur salutem, et sancti tui lætentur in bonis. 42O Lord God, turn not away the face of thy anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.Signore Dio, non volger lo sguardo dal tuo cristo: ricorditi della benignità di Davidde tuo servo.Lord God turne not away from the face of my Christ: remember the mercies of Dauid thy seruant.Domine Deus, ne averteris faciem christi tui: memento misericordiarum David servi tui.
