ANTONIO da MONZA. - Miniaturist, and perhaps also an engraver, a Franciscan active in Milan at the end of the 15th century. The only known work is a single sheet from a pontifical signed by him, once belonging to Alexander VI, now in the Albertina in Vienna, depicting the *Pentecost*. To him may also be attributed the miniatures of the *Life of Giacomo Sforza* in the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris; a Pontifical, Cod. Ottobonianus in the Vatican Library; the Book of Hours of Bona of Savoy in the British Museum in London, and a diploma in Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. Stylistically, he is dependent on the followers of Leonardo, particularly Luini.
