GABRIELLI (Gabriellius), FELICE. - Conventual Franciscan theologian, born at Capradosso in the Ascoli region and died in 1684. Because of his intellectual qualities and his administrative ability, he was called to positions of responsibility in the Church and in the Order. Regent of studies at Fano, Fermo, in the «magna domus Venetianum», and at the Sistine College of S. Bonaventura in Rome (1644), consultor to the S. Congregazione dei Riti, he was elected minister general of the Order in 1653 and, at the expiration of his six-year term (1659), was elected bishop of Nocera dei Pagani.
Among his writings may be mentioned: Theologica disputationes de prardestinatione saucorum et impiorum reprobatione ad mentem D. Bonaventurae et Scoti (Rome 1653); Theologica disputationes de fide, spe et caritate ad mentem D. Bonaventurae et Scoti (ibid. 1653).
