GINOULHIAC, JACQUES-MARIE-ACHILLE. — Archbishop and theologian, born in Montpellier on 3 December 1806, died there on 17 November 1875. Ordained priest in 1830, he taught philosophy and then dogmatic theology in the diocesan seminary. He served as chaplain at the convent of the Providence (1837) and as vicar general to the archbishop of Aix (1839). In 1853 he was consecrated bishop of Grenoble.
