Usquequo, Domine. A prayer in tribulation.

1Unto the end, a psalm for David. How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me unto the end? how long dost thou turn away thy face from me?Salmo di David. Fino a quando, o Signore? ti scorderai forse di me per sempre? fino a quando volgi da me la tua faccia?Vnto the end, the Psalme of Dauid. HOw long • Lord wilt thou forget me vnto the end? How long doest thou turne away thy face from me?In finem. Psalmus David. Usquequo, Domine, oblivisceris me in finem ? / usquequo avertis faciem tuam a me ? 2How long shall I take counsels in my soul, sorrow in my heart all the day?Fino a quando accumulerò perplessità nell'anima mia, e nel cuor mio dolori ogni giorno? How long shal I put counsels in my soule, sorrow in my hart by day?quamdiu ponam consilia in anima mea; / dolorem in corde meo per diem ? 3How long shall my enemy be exalted over Me?Fino a quando avrà possanza sopra di me il mio nemico? How long shal mine enemies be exalted ouer me?usquequo exaltabitur inimicus meus super me ? 4Consider, and hear me, O Lord, my God. Enlighten my eyes, that I never sleep in death:Volgiti a me, ed esaudiscimi, Signore, Dio mio. Illumina gli occhi miei, affinchè io non dorma giammai sonno di morte;Regard and heare me ô Lord my God. Illuminate mine eies that I sleepe not in death at any time:Respice, et exaudi me, Domine Deus meus. / Illumina oculos meos, ne umquam obdormiam in morte; 5Lest at any time my enemy say: I have prevailed against him. They that trouble me, will rejoice when I am moved:Affinchè non dica una volta il mio nemico: Io lo ho vinto. Color che mi affliggono, trionferanno se io sarò smosso:lest sometime mine enemie say: I haue preuailed against him. They that truble me, wil reioyce if I be moued:nequando dicat inimicus meus: Prævalui adversus eum. / Qui tribulant me exsultabunt si motus fuero; 6But I have trusted in thy mercy. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation: I will sing to the Lord, who giveth me good things: yea, I will sing to the name of the Lord, the most high.Io però mia speranza ho posta nella tua misericordia. Il mio cuore esulterà nella salute, che vien da te: canterò il Signore mio benefattore: e al nome del Signore altissimo farò risonare inni di laude.but I haue hoped in thy mercie. My hart shal reioyce in thy saluation: I wil sing to our Lord which geueth me good thinges: and I wil sing to the name of our Lord most high.ego autem in misericordia tua speravi. / Exsultabit cor meum in salutari tuo. / Cantabo Domino qui bona tribuit mihi; / et psallam nomini Domini altissimi.
