SURVEY OF THE LITERARY, CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC ACTIVITY OF CATHOLICS IN ITALY, THE. - Annual review of such activities, begun in 1930 by M. Luzzi, R. Perondi and E. Lucatello (in Florence until 1933, then in Milan).

In the climate of the rebirth of literary activities of sentiment and of openly Catholic expression, which arose after 1923 around G. Papini and which then grouped themselves especially in the Carroccio of Bologna, in the Festa of Milan, in the Frontespizio of Florence, in Tradizione of Palermo, in the Rinascimento letterario of Genoa, in the Arte cattolica of Turin, etc., the R., taking stock year by year, helped to orient and coordinate the various local groups. Within the framework of this orientation there also fell the "conferences of Catholic writers" held in those years in Bologna, Florence, Milan, Naples and Rome. After its publications were interrupted because of the war after 1942, the R. resumed them in 1952. Since 1935 a monthly Catholic bibliographical review with the same title has been published in Milan.
