Giacomo della Marca, Saint. – Born in 1394 at Monteprandone (diocese of Ripatransone in the Marches) into a most humble family, died at Naples on 28 November 1476. He pursued his studies through the interest of a priest uncle and at about the age of twenty entered the Franciscans at Assisi. Coming into contact with St Bernardine
