Cardinal, b. at Venice on 5 July 1549 to Ranieri, Marquis del Monte of S. Maria, Count of Monte Barocco and of Minerva Pianosa; d. at Rome on 27 Aug. 1626. He was referendary of both Signatures when Sixtus V created him cardinal deacon of S. Maria in Dominica on 14 Dec. 1588, to oblige Ferdinand de’ Medici, who was renouncing the cardinalate (Oct. 1588) for the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
