1Then Eliasib the high priest arose, and his brethren the priests, and they built the flock gate: they sanctified it, and set up the doors thereof, even unto the tower of a hundred cubits they sanctified it unto the tower of Hananeel.Ed Eliasib sommo Sacerdote, e i suoi fratelli sacerdoti intrapreser di fabbricare la porta del gregge. And besides them built Marimuth the sonne of Vrias the sonne of Accas.Portam autem piscium ædificaverunt filii Asnaa: ipsi texerunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes. Et juxta eos ædificavit Marimuth filius Uriæ, filii Accus. 4And next to him built Mosollam the son of Barachias, the son of Merezebel, and next to them built Sadoc the son of Baana.E presso a questo fabbricò Mosollam figliuolo di Barachia, figliuolo di Mesezebel: e presso a questi fabbricò Sadoc figliuolo di Baana.And besides him built Mosollam the sonne of Bazachias, the sonne of Merezebel, and besides them built Sadoc the sonne of Baana.Et juxta eum ædificavit Mosollam filius Barachiæ, filii Mesezebel: et juxta eos ædificavit Sadoc filius Baana. 5And next to them the Thecuites built: but their great men did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.E presso a questi edificaron quelli di Thecua: ma i principali loro cittadini non piegarono i loro colli a faticare all'opera del loro Signore.And beside them builded the Thecuenes: but their great men did not put vnder their neckes in the worke of their Lord.Et juxta eos ædificaverunt Thecueni: optimates autem eorum non supposuerunt colla sua in opere Domini sui.

6And Joiada the son of Phasea, and Mosollam the son of Besodia built the old gate: they covered it and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars.La porta vecchia fu edificata da Joiada figliuolo di Phasea, e da Mosollam figliuolo di Besodia: ei vi posero l'architrave, e le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre:And Ioiada the sonne of Phasea, and Mosollam the sonne of Besodia built the oldgate couered it, and set vp the doores therof, and the lockes, and barres.Et portam veterem ædificaverunt Jojada filius Phasea, et Mosollam filius Besodia: ipsi texerunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes. 7And next to them built Meltias the Gabaonite, and Jadon the Meronathite, the men of Gabaon and Maspha, for the governor that was in the country beyond the river.E presso a questi fabbricarono Meltia di Gabaon, e Jadon di Meronath, e gli uomini di Gabaon, e di Maspha pel governatore del paese, che stava di là dal fiume.And beside them built Meltias a Gabaonite, and Iadon a Meronathite, men of Gabaon and Maspha, for the duke that was in the country beyond the Riuer.Et juxta eos ædificaverunt Meltias Gabaonites, et Jadon Meronathites, viri de Gabaon et Maspha, pro duce qui erat in regione trans flumen. 8And next to him built Eziel the son of Araia the goldsmith: and next to him built Ananias the son of the perfumer: and they left Jerusalem unto the wall of the broad street.E presso a lui fabbricò Eziel figliuolo di Araia, orefice: e presso a lui fabbricò Hanania figliuolo di un profumiere: e lasciarono stare la parte di Gerusalemme, che va fino al muro della piazza maggiore.And beside him built Ezrel the sonne of Araia a goldsmith: and beside him built Ananias the sonne of a Pigmentarie: and they leift Ierusalem vnto the wal of the broder streate.Et juxta eum ædificavit Eziel filius Araia aurifex: et juxta eum ædificavit Ananias filius pigmentarii: et dimiserunt Jerusalem usque ad murum plateæ latioris. 9And next to him built Raphaia the son of Hur, lord of the street of Jerusalem.E presso a lui fabbricò Raphaia figliuolo di Hur, capo di una regione di Gerusalemme.And beside him built Raphaia the sonne of Hur, prince of the streate of Ierusalem.Et juxta eum ædificavit Raphaia filius Hur, princeps vici Jerusalem. 10And next to him Jedaia the son of Haromaph over against his own house: and next to him built Hattus the son of Hasebonia.E presso a lui fabbricò Jedaia figliuolo ai Haromaph, dirimpetto alla sua casa: e presso a lui fabbrico Hattus figliuolo di Hasebonia.And beside them Iedaia the sonne of Haromaph against his house: and beside him built Hattus the sonne of Hasebomia.Et juxta eum ædificavit Jedaia filius Haromaph contra domum suam: et juxta eum ædificavit Hattus filius Haseboniæ.

11Melchias the son of Herem, and Hasub the son of Phahath Moab, built half the street, and the tower of the furnaces.La metà di una regione, e la torre de' forni fu fabbricata da Melchia figliuolo di Herem, e da Hasub figliuolo di Phahath-Moab.The halfe part of the streate built Melchias the sonne of Herem, and Hasub the sonne of Phahath Moab, and the towre of the fornaces.Mediam partem vici ædificavit Melchias filius Herem, et Hasub filius Phahath Moab, et turrim furnorum. 12And next to him built Sellum the son of Alohes, lord of half the street of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.E presso a lui fabbricò Sellum figliuolo di Alohes, capo della metà di una regione di Gerusalemme; egli, e le sue figliuole.And beside him built Sellum the sonne of Alohes prince of the halfe part of the streate of Ierusalem, he and his daughters.Et juxta eum ædificavit Sellum filius Alohes, princeps mediæ partis vici Jerusalem, ipse et filiæ ejus. 13And the gate of the valley Hanun built, and the inhabitants of Zanoe: they built it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars, and a thousand cubits in the wall unto the gate of the dunghill.E la porta della valle fu edificata da Hanun, e dagli abitanti di Zanne: essi la fabbricarono, e vi poser le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre, e fecer mille cubiti di muraglia fino alla porta stercoraria.And the gate of the valley built Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoe: they built it, and sette vp the dores therof, and the lockes, and barres, and a thousand cubires in the wal vnto the gate of the dunghil.Et portam vallis ædificavit Hanun, et habitatores Zanoë: ipsi ædificaverunt eam, et statuerunt valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes, et mille cubitos in muro usque ad portam sterquilinii. 14And the gate of the dunghill Melchias the son of Rechab built, lord of the street of Bethacharam: he built it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars.E la porta stercoraria fu fabbricata da Melchia figliuolo di Rechab, capo del quartiere di Bethacharam: egli la fabbricò, e vi pose imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre.And the gate of the dunghil built Melchias the sonne of Rechab, the prince of the streate of Bethacaram: he built it, and sette vp the dores therof, and the lockes, and barres.Et portam sterquilinii ædificavit Melchias filius Rechab, princeps vici Bethacharam: ipse ædificavit eam, et statuit valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes. 15And the gate of the fountain, Sellum, the son of Cholhoza, built, lord of the street of Maspha: he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks, and the bars, and the walls of the pool of Siloe unto the king’s guard, and unto the steps that go down from the city of David.E la porta della fontana fu edificata da Sellum figliuolo di Cholhoza, capo del quartiere di Maspha: egli la edificò, e vi pose l'architrave, e le imposte, e le serrature, e le sbarre, e fece le muraglie della piscina di Siloe fino all'orto del re, e fino alla scalinata, per cui si scende dalla città di David.And the gate of the fountayne Sellum builded the sonne of Colhoza, prince of the village of Maspha: he built it, and couered it, and set vp the doores therof, & the lockes, & barres, and the walles of the poole of Siloe vnto the kings gardē, and vnto the steppes that goe downe from the citie of Dauid.Et portam fontis ædificavit Sellum filius Cholhoza, princeps pagi Maspha: ipse ædificavit eam, et texit, et statuit valvas ejus, et seras, et vectes, et muros piscinæ Siloë in hortum regis, et usque ad gradus qui descendunt de civitate David.

16After him built Nehemias the son of Azboc, lord of half the street of Bethsur, as far as over against the sepulchre of David, and to the pool, that was built with great labour, and to the house of the mighty.Appresso a lui fabbricò Nehemia figliuolo di Azboc, capo della metà del quartiere di Bethsur, fin dirimpetto al sepolcro di David, e fino alla piscina, che fu costrutta con grand'arte, e fino alla casa dei forti.After him built Nehemias the sonne of Azboc prince of the halfe part of the streate of Bethsur, as far as ouer against the sepulchre of Dauid, and vnto the poole, that is built with great worke, and vnto the house of the valiants.Post eum ædificavit Nehemias filius Azboc, princeps dimidiæ partis vici Bethsur, usque contra sepulchrum David, et usque ad piscinam quæ grandi opere constructa est, et usque ad domum fortium. 17After him built the Levites, Rehum the son of Benni. Post eum ædificavit Melchias filius aurificis usque ad domum Nathinæorum, et scruta vendentium contra portam judicialem, et usque ad cœnaculum anguli.

31And within the chamber of the corner of the flock gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants built.E lungo la sala dell'angolo alla porta del gregge fabbricaron gli orefici, e i mercatanti.And within the vpper chamber of the corner in the gate of the flocke, the goldsmithes and marchants builded.Et inter cœnaculum anguli in porta gregis, ædificaverunt aurifices et negotiatores.
