1In the year that king Ozias died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and elevated: and his train filled the temple. IN the yeare that king Ozias died, I saw our Lord sitting vpon an high throne and eleuated: and those thinges that were vnder him filled the temple. In anno quo mortuus est rex Ozias, vidi Dominum sedentem super solium excelsum et elevatum; et ea quæ sub ipso erant replebant templum. 2Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they flew. Seraphims stoode vpon the same: six winges to one, and six winges to the other: with two they couered his face, and with two they couered his feete, and with two they flewe.Seraphim stabant super illud: sex alæ uni, et sex alæ alteri; duabus velabant faciem ejus, et duabus velabant pedes ejus, et duabus volabant. 3And they cried one to another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God of hosts, all the earth is full of his glory,E ad alta voce cantavano alternativamente, e dicevano: Santo, santo, santo il Signore Dio degli eserciti; della gloria di lui è piena tutta la terra. And they cried one to an other, and sayd: Holie, holie, holie, the Lord God of hostes, al the earth is ful of his glorie. 4And the lintels of the doors were moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.E si smossero i cardini delle porte alla voce del cantante, e la casa si empiè di fumo. And the lintels of the dores were moued at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5And I said: Woe is me, because I have held my peace; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that hath unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King the Lord of hosts. And I said: Woe is me because I haue held my peace, because I am a man of polluted lippes, and I dwel in the middes of a people that hath polluted lippes, and the king the Lord of hostes I haue sene with mine eies.Et dixi: Væ mihi, quia tacui, / quia vir pollutus labiis ego sum, / et in medio populi polluta labia habentis ego habito, / et regem Dominum exercituum vidi oculis meis.

6And one of the seraphims flew to me, and in his hand was a live coal, which he had taken with the tongs off the altar.E volò a me uno de' Serafini, ed avea nella sua mano una pietruzza, la quale avea colle molle presa di su l'altare. And one of the Seraphims flewe to me, and in his hand an hote cole, which he had taken with tonges from the altar.Et volavit ad me unus de seraphim, et in manu ejus calculus, quem forcipe tulerat de altari, 7And he touched my mouth, and said: Behold this hath touched thy lips, and thy iniquities shall be taken away, and thy sin shall be cleansed.E toccò la mia bocca, e disse: Ecco che questo ha toccate le tue labbra, e sarà tolta la tua iniquità, e sarà lavato il tuo peccato. And he touched my mouth, and said: Behold this hath touched thy lippes, and thine iniquitie shal be taken away, & thy sinne shal be cleansed.et tetigit os meum, et dixit: Ecce tetigit hoc labia tua, / et auferetur iniquitas tua, et peccatum tuum mundabitur. 8And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send? and who shall go for us? And I said: Lo, here am I, send me.E udii la voce del Signor, che diceva: Chi manderò io? e chi anderà per noi? E io dissi: Eccomi, manda me.And I heard the voice of our Lord saying: Whom shal I send? and who shal goe for vs? And I sayd: Loe I am here, send me.Et audivi vocem Domini dicentis: Quem mittam ? / et quis ibit nobis ? Et dixi: Ecce ego, mitte me. 9And he said: Go, and thou shalt say to this people: Hearing, hear, and understand not: and see the vision, and know it not. And he sayd: Goe, and thou shalt say to this people: Heare ye that heare, and vnderstand not: and see vision, and knowe it not.Et dixit: Vade, et dices populo huic: / Audite audientes, et nolite intelligere; / et videte visionem, et nolite cognoscere. 10Blind the heart of this people, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and I heal them. Blinde the hart of this people, and make their eares heauie, and shut their eies: lest perhaps they may see with their eies, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their hart, and be conuerted and I heale them.

11And I said: How long, O Lord? And he said: Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land shall be left desolate.E dissi: Fino a quando, o Signore? And I said: How long Lord? And he said: Vntil the cities be made desolate without inhabiter, and the houses without man, and the land shal be lea•t desert.Et dixi: Usquequo, Domine ? Et dixit: Donec desolentur civitates absque habitatore, / et domus sine homine, / et terra relinquetur deserta. 12And the Lord shall remove men far away, and she shall be multiplied that was left in the midst of the earth.E il Signore manderà lontano gli uomini, e moltiplicheranno gli abbandonati sopra la terra. And our Lord shal make men goe farre of, and he shal be multiplied that was leaft in the middes of the earth.Et longe faciet Dominus homines, / et multiplicabitur quæ derelicta fuerat in medio terræ. 13And there shall be still a tithing therein, and she shall turn, and shall be made a show as a turpentine tree, and as an oak that spreadeth its branches: that which shall stand therein, shall be a holy seed. And yet there shal be tithing in it, and she shal be conuerted, and shal be to the shew as a terebinth, and as an oke, that spreadeth his boughes: that which shal stand in it, shal be an holie seede.
