1Unto the end. A Psalm for David.Salmo di David.Vnto the end, the psalme of Dauid. In finem. Psalmus David. 2The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.I Cieli narrano la gloria di Dio, e le opere delle mani di lui annunzia il firmamento.THE heauens shew forth the glorie of God, and the firmament declareth the workes of his handes.Cæli enarrant gloriam Dei, / et opera manuum ejus annuntiat firmamentum. 3Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge. Day vnto day vttereth word: and night vnto night sheweth knowledge.Dies diei eructat verbum, / et nox nocti indicat scientiam. 4There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard. There are no languages, nor speaches, whose voyces are not heard. 5Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the world. Their sound hath gone forth into al the earth; and vnto the endes of the round world the wordes of them.In omnem terram exivit sonus eorum, / et in fines orbis terræ verba eorum. 6He hath set his tabernacle in the sun: and he as a bridegroom coming out of his bridechamber, Hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way:Ha posto nel sole il suo padiglione, e questi come uno sposo, che esce dalla stanza nuziale, Spunta fuor qual gigante a fornir sua carriera:He put his tabernacle in the sunne: & himself as a bridgrome coming forth of his bridechamber. He hath reioyced as againt to runne the way,In sole posuit tabernaculum suum; / et ipse tamquam sponsus procedens de thalamo suo. / Exsultavit ut gigas ad currendam viam; 7His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.Dall'una estremità del cielo si parte; E corre fino all'altra estremità di esso, e non havvi chi al calore di lui si nasconda.his comming forth from the toppe of heauen: And his recourse euen to the toppe therof: neither is there that can hide him selfe from his heate.a summo cælo egressio ejus. 8The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones. The law of our Lord is immaculate conuerting soules: the testimonie of our Lord is faithful, geuing wisedome to litle ones.Lex Domini immaculata, convertens animas; / testimonium Domini fidele, sapientiam præstans parvulis.

9The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.I precetti del Signore sono retti, e rallegrano i cuori: il comandamento del Signore è lucente, e gli occhi rischiara. The iustices of our Lord be right, making hartes ioyful: the precept of our Lord lightsome; illuminating the eies.Justitiæ Domini rectæ, lætificantes corda; / præceptum Domini lucidum, illuminans oculos. 10The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves. The feare of our Lord is holie, permanent for euer and euer: the iudgmentes of our Lord be true, iustified in themselues.Timor Domini sanctus, permanens in sæculum sæculi; / judicia Domini vera, justificata in semetipsa, 11More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. To be desired aboue gold and much pretious stone: and more sweete aboue honie and the honie combe.desiderabilia super aurum et lapidem pretiosum multum, / et dulciora super mel et favum. 12For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward. For thy seruant keepeth them, in keeping them is much reward.Etenim servus tuus custodit ea; / in custodiendis illis retributio multa. 13Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:Chi è che gli errori conosca? Mondami da' peccati, che a me sono occulti,Sinnes who vnderstandeth? from my secrete sinnes cleanse me:Delicta quis intelligit ? / ab occultis meis munda me; 14And from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.E da' perversi uomini tienimi lontano. Se questi non prevarranno sopra di me, sarò allor senza macchia, e da delitto gravissimo sarò mondato.and from other mens spare thy seruant. If they shal not haue dominion ouer me, then shal I be immaculate; and shal be cleansed from the greatest sinne.et ab alienis parce servo tuo. 15And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper and my Redeemer.E a te accette saranno le parole della mia bocca, e la meditazione del cuor mio alla tua presenza in ogni tempo, O Signore, aiuto mio, e mio Redentore. And the wordes of my mouth shal be such as may please: and the meditation of my hart in thy sight alwayes. O Lord my helper, and my redemer.
